Salmon pink hand painted silk tea gown with puffed sleeves 1930s 8
Style - Full length tea gown with gathered bodice, of hand-painted silk.
Full puffed sleeves, sweetheart neckline with frill detailing, gathered cumberbund-style waistband finished with three self-covered buttons and rouleaux loops, full flared skirt. No shoulder pads. Side opening with hooks and eyes. Fully lined (lining is low on the back).
Era - Late 1930s
Fabric - Hand painted silk organza. Cotton lining.
Colour - Salmon pink organza, with painted flowers of blue and pink with green leaves Lining is pink too.
Label - none.

Total length: 62 inches - very tall!
Origin: unknown.
Condition: Very good - some discolouration to the back of the bodice, sleeves and shoulders. It looks like some of the painting may have transferred to the bodice (see photos). A small hole to the petticoat near the hem (see pic).
