Sale item: please note there are no returns available on sale items so choose wisely. Thank you.

Bright and interesting swimsuit with halter neck, cross over back straps, structured bust and flared skirt. Fully lined in cotton.

The air-brush style print looks like it could have been hand applied, rather than commercially printed.

This swimsuit featured in both the Wintersun vintage swimwear parade 2010 (where it was worn by model Isabelle Faith) and a swimwear exhibition at the Ballarat Heritage weekend in May 2010 - see the first and last images.

Era - 1930s

Fabric - stretch rayon satin and cotton jersey lining

Colour - cream heavily overladden with an abstract multi-coloured print

Label - Aqua Modes

Size - 10 to 12

Bust: 34 inches unstretched, 38 stretched

Waist: 30 inches

Hips: 38 inches unstretched, 42 stretched

Length: 27 inches

Origin: US

Condition: Good: small mark on the centre front, not very  noticeable due to the print and the jersey lining is looking tired and could be replaced if wished, but it's not seen from outside. A few missing stitches in the hem, but there's two rows of stitching so it doesn't impact functionality. Some seams have been taken in and out again. A small piece of elastic has been roughly sewn into the centre back so that a smaller wearer could wear it. Price reflects the condition.

These issues are minor though, and this is a rare and wonderful swimsuit from the great era of beach wear.

Recommended Care: hand wash.
