Tailored skirt suit with boxy oversized double breasted jacket with large collar and three quarter (bracelet) length sleeves, fully lined in silk woven with the couturier's label. Welted buttonholes are a sign of couture detailing.

Skirt is a high waisted pencil style, with a deep waistband, and slight tulip shape. Built in pockets hide in the front seams. Deep hem.

A high quality couture suit with hand finishing by Sydney company "House of Youth", the first company Christian Dior authorised to duplicate his designs in the 1950s. Garments from the House of Youth are included in the collection of Sydney's Powerhouse Museum.
